MediaTech Festival 2025
The winners of the Pretty Duckling Award 2025 were revealed at MediaTech Festival 2025 in Odense.
At this year's MediaTech Festival in Odense, the most promising startups within media and technology were honored at the very first Pretty Duckling Award Show – in collaboration with TechSavvy and FST Growth. The award highlights companies that dare to think outside the box and create groundbreaking solutions at the intersection of media and technology, and the competition was fierce among the nominees.
Sasha took home the Main Award - and the Rising Star Award
The biggest winner was Sasha, that not only took home the grand award Best Mediatech Innovationbut also triumphed in the category Rising Star. The company has an innovative technology, that protects individuals from digital misuse of their private digital rights, and according to the founder and CEO Thomas Eriksson, it is exactly the need for bigger and better safety on the internet, that was the driving-power behind Sasha:
"I'm so happy! Innovation doesn't arise without hard work. To get that pat on the shoulder, it feels amazing. And it's amazing to know, that others find it interesting. It means that a project like Sasha can become bigger than simply a company, but a movement- because of course, you should own the rights to your own digital content online," -Thomas Eriksson, founder and CEO of Sasha.
But Sasha didn't just get to go home with one award, but also the award in the category Rising Star, which Thomas Eriksson was not expecting:
"I was hoping that we would win in the category Rising Star, but in no way had I expected that we would win two awards. It's means so much to both me and my team."
