Digital technologies and AI (artificial intelligence) are spreading rapidly in society and on 1 September, SDU will open a new interdisciplinary research center, Digital Democracy Center, to research how developments in new technologies, algorithms and artificial intelligence affect the democratic process. This afternoon, Show & Tell will focus on the new research center, digital technologies and AI (artificial intelligence). Join us when one of the world's leading researchers in the field, Claes de Vreese, who also heads the new research center, will make us wiser about the Digital Democracy Center and their work.

Furthermore, the afternoon will focus on manipulated media, which today play an important role in the media landscape. Meet Francesca Panetta, Creative Director of the MIT Center for Advanced Virtuality and a leader in storytelling using new technologies. In 2019, with the Center for Advanced Virtuality, she released a new digital storytelling project: "In Event of Moon Disaster". The project should be seen as an information to the public about deep-fake. Francesca will this afternoon talk about the project and the work with deep-fake.
